Celebrating How Women Go Red
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: January 20, 2006 NEW YORK, January 20th -- In what is anticipated to be New York's first ever cause -related event / party during New York's Fashion Week, the Rhapsody in Red: Celebrating How Women Go Red is experiential and its purpose is to highlight the power of women and the notion of women going red. The American Heart Association's Go Red for Women; is the inspiring movement that helps women discover a heart healthy lifestyle by learning about heart disease and taking positive action to reduce their risk and to encourage women to go RED in their own fashion. The purpose of the event is to give tastemakers, celebrities, socialites and influencers the opportunity to celebrate our collective power to wipe out heart disease, currently the number one killer of women, by living heart healthy lives. The event will take place on February 7, 2006 from 8PM to midnight and will be hosted by Sigourney Weaver. The New York based risk management security firm, Strategic Security Corporation (SSC), is already hard at work, preparing to protect the high profile event as well as the VIPs who will be attending to support the cause related event. Joseph Sordi, the CEO of SSC remarks: "Providing a high level of security today is far more demanding than it was pre-9/11. Our company must depend on our security subject experts whom are either active or retired members of elite agencies within the law enforcement community and the intelligence gathering community. Building a secure and immediate response command center for the venue and developing a high speed communications network is not enough to secure our clients. We take the extra step to ensure our clients and their guest safety." Strategic Security Corporation provided the same services for companies and individuals in Boston during the Democratic National Convention, in New York during the Republican National Convention, in Washington D.C. for the 55th Presidential Inauguration and in September 2005 for the Rand/Workman Fine Motor Auto Auction & Luxury Lifestyle Expo. According to Mr. Sordi, what distinguishes Strategic Security Corp. from their competitors is a focus on value, revenue, ROI and customer service. "We have managed to become a key player in the industry, shifting the traditional focus from guards and premise protection to loss prevention and risk management. By doing so we are able to gain our client's respect and manage an event specific security and life safety plan enabling us to be more than a cost center on our client's balance sheet" says Joseph Sordi. SSC has been engaged by several major corporations to protect and ensure their high profile events and business objectives. Their client list includes the NFL, Bvglari, UBS, Deloitte & Touche, Audi, Extreme Home Makeover, The Simple Life, Ford Model Management, The Sundance Film Festival, VeriSign, Hewlett Packard and several congressmen and VIPs. They also provided security services to a Washington DC based production company, which created a four night consecutive evening party at the old Tunnel Night Club, touted as the most prestigious and highly attended satellite event of the Republican National Convention. Strategic Security Corp. is conducting a threat assessment of the event and providing security specialists for the venue that will maintain surveillance throughout the entire event ensuring effective asset protection and executive protection for VIPs and senior members of the Republican and Democratic parties. SSC was established in 2002 to provide a wide range of risk management solutions including business continuity planning, due diligence investigations, Executive protection, armed security, event security, counterterrorism, disaster recovery planning, emergency management, access control and alarm systems, and educational security training and self defense tactics.
